Title: Merry Christmas!
A long time between blogs! With 4 children, our online store, and our new retail store, we just don't seem to find the time!
We would like to thank all our wonderful customers, who helped make our business grow in 2008. We look forward to "seeing" you all in the New Year.
The new retail store has enabled us to meet many of you in person. It is always wonderful to chat to customers about their inspiring creations.
We visited the Victorian Quilt Show last month, and got a teensy bit carried away - great for our buyers! We have so many new fabrics arriving in the new year. Now to find the time to list!
Look out for new Amy Butler, Alexander Henry, Moda, bolts and bolts of Japanese import fabrics including Kokka and Echino, Valori Wells, fabulous inspirational books and patterns as well as a new range of funky giftwares.
We have a large order arriving from Holland featuring Vintage Fabric Messenger Bags, Vintage Fabric Monsters, Headbands and wonderful cushions. We do hope to list these on our vintage fabric website www.vintagefabrix.com early next year.

Title: Shannon Lamden in Store!
Our order of Shannon Lamden fabric has arrived. So beautiful!
Lovely hand screen printed designs on a linen/cotton base.
They are just perfect for home decor uses, but would loook fabulous as clothing or for adding special touches to your quilts, soft toys and handbags.
We are very happy to be stocking this wonderful range. We should have all new fabrics on the site by the end of the week.
I am already compiling my new order from Shannon.

Title: NEW RETAIL STORE COMING SOON!
Well we have finally secured the perfect shop for our new retail store. We have been very very busy sourcing groovy new products, fabrics and patterns.
Not only will our store stock the Funkiest Fabric in Brisbane, we will offer a huge range of cool patterns, some very funky children's clothing, sewing kits and fun gifts for yound and old.
Haven't we had fun shopping!
Many of our new products will be listed on our new upcoming website www.thefunkyhouse.com.
Hope you all enjoy the new fabrics are have been listing daily. We have bolts and bolts of new fabrics, just need the time to list them all.
Amongst our new fabrics you will find new Kokka of Japan, new Robert Kaufman, Amy Butler, and ofcourse our very favourite designed Tina Givens.
Don't forget to pop us a line if you are looking for a particular fabric and we do not have it in stock, we may be able to source it for you.

Title: Kokka is Here!
We have uploaded many new Japanase Import fabrics from Kokka and Echino. We still have many more to come, so if you are a fan of these quirky fabric, check back soon.
Our little boy has taken a strong liking to Kokka Robots, so there may not be much left soon - we have to keep cutting off bits and pieces for him! He presently has a new cushion, some funky fabrix badges and a wicked wall hanging!

Title: Amy Bulter Mid Western Modern & More!
New Amy Butler fabrics have just arrived. We will soon be uploading Amy Butlers wonderful new range of fabrics - Midwestern Modern. Stunning sun drenched prints perfect for home decor, clothing and quilting.
We are also so excited to receive the wonderful Kokka of Japan range. We ordered these fabrics way back in October and they are finally here! We have already uploaded many of these wonderful Japanse imported fabrics. The rest will be available for sale later in the week.

Title: CHRISTMAS IN COMING!
Hello all,
A long time between blogs, but with family, our ebay business, our retail store and a few holidays, it has been a very busy time.
Our business continues to grow and with it, our "time off" seems to diminish. Not that we are complaining, without all our wonderful customers our business wouldn't continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
We have just employed a full time packaging company to handle your parcels, so they arrive as quickly as possible. Hopefully this will free up more time, so we can finally upload all our wonderful fabrics on the site.
Take a look at the new Moda Loft 1800 range designed by Erin Michael. Wonderful Bontanic prints, which are always our favourites. We uploaded the first of this range last night but will add more over the next week.
Please check back weekly for more wonderful fabrics added.
You will also find Robert Kaufman's On A Whim Range - another wonderful mid century feel range, perfect for the retro lover.....fantastic whimsical prints to brighten any home. Our little boy just loves the owls!

Title: VERY BUSY!
Thanks to all our wonderful customers, we have been flat out!
We have just uploaded some of our new range including Robert Kaufman new range, Day and Night - classic Black and White prints in florals and botanics.
We have also added more of the Joel Dewberry range, more coming soon!
Check out the limited edition fabrics by Sprout Design. Wonderful reprints of Pamela Walkers designs of the Seventies. These fabrics are screen printed on home dec quality cottons and are limited editions, so be quick. We have almost sold out our second order in as many weeks.

Title: WE'RE BACK!
Thank you to our wonderful customers who kept the orders flooding in whilst we were away. We visited the lovely South Island of New Zealand and spent most of our time in Queenstown.
We are hoping to relocate there in the New Year and open a second retail store in the heart of Queenstown. Our Brisbane branch will run as per usual thanks to our wonderful dedicated staff.
Take a look at our fabulous new range of Joel Dewberry fabrics. Very much in the genre of Amy Butler, this range has wonderful Damask prints and even more spectacular Birds and Botanic prints. I am sure you will love this range as much as we do.
We haven't had much time to upload new listings of late... hard to keep up with all the orders!

Title: NEW JAPANESE PRINTS
We have just listed some wonderful imported Japanese fabrics. These are truly delightful. We have a new category, so they are easy for you to find.
We will be expanding on this range over the coming months.
We also hope to bring lots of new exciting fabrics to you soon! We have just listed more of Alexander Henry's wonderful new range, Juicy Jungle for your little ones. Great graphics, great 70s styling.
Jason and I will be off to the Quilting Trade Fair in Melbourne in a few weeks, so look out for exciting new fabrics on our return!

Title: NEW ALEXANDER HENRY VIENNA PRINTS
Alexander Henry has just realised a gorgeous range of Nouveau style fabrics called Vienna. These fabrics are influenced by the much loved artworks of Gustav Klimt from the early 1900s. We have two listed at the moment but more will be coming soon, so keep checking back often!

Thank you to all our wonderful customers who keep stopping by. Now that we have a pretty new website, we will be uploading listings daily. In the meantime you can still purchase all our fabrics through our eBay store.
We will endeavour to have most of our fabrics uploaded over the next few weeks, so our wonderful customers can buy off us directly and save money - we don't have to pay those nasty eBay fees, so we can pass this savings on to our customers.
Please email us if there are any fabrics you are after in particular - we may just be able to find it for you. Also let us know if you require greater amounts than listed.
